Dr. Weyhrich grew up a wholesome Midwestern boy, but left that region as soon as he had any say in the matter. He’s lived virtually his whole adult life in the Intermountain and Far West, earning his veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 1991 and then completing a three-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Washington.
Dr. Weyhrich spent the first part of his career as a research veterinarian, caring for a whole host of animals ranging from birds to fish and mice to monkeys. More recently, he’s worked in non-institutionalized settings, improving the lives of cats and dogs, as well as the occasional pocket pet.
Dr. Weyhrich lived and practiced in Montana for nearly 20 years, then spent a few years back in the Seattle area, but he has recently returned to western Montana and is excited to be a member of the Burnt Fork Veterinary Clinic team.
He has special interests in surgery, dentistry, and animal behavior. His professional experience also includes stints in the ski and cycling industries, and his spare-time activities usually find him exploring the great outdoors on snow or on a bicycle. Dr. Weyhrich also enjoys popular culture, film, and he has an eclectic taste in music (for which he is often ridiculed).
