To our clients,
On May 13th, the CDC issued new mask-wearing guidelines stating that fully vaccinated people can begin to return to normal activities without wearing a mask. As of today, May 21, 2021, 41.1% of Ravalli County has had at least 1 COVID vaccination.
Given these developments at both the local and federal level, we are rescinding our mask-wearing mandate, effective immediately. This goes for both clients and staff. We still recommend mask-wearing especially to those who have not been vaccinated and if exhibiting any cold or flu symptoms.
Feel free to request our team members wear a mask when visiting our clinic.
We will continue our outdoor curbside service this summer. However, starting June 1st you may request an indoor appointment with your pet if enough exam rooms are available. We will be completing construction this summer on additional exam rooms, so we will be utilizing curbside exams and service as much as possible until those are available.
As stated above, we will be adding additional exam rooms during construction as well as additional kennel space and workspace. We expect construction to take roughly 3 months and hope to be open normally in the fall.
In preparation for your summer activities, please plan ahead for flea and tick season as well as fireworks and car sickness/travel stress. Call in those refills now and avoid the last-minute stress.
Thank you so much for your patience as we have navigated this turbulent time together. We hope this summer brings you good health and happy memories with your family and pets.
All our best to you & your pets,
Dr. Linda Kauffman
